Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
The City of La Quinta invites you to ring in the holiday season with the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. Celebrate the season with a specil visit from Santa, festive music, and live entertainment. Performances include Benjamin Franklin Elementary School Choir, La Quinta High School Dance groups, and much more.

Nature Walks and Guided Hikes

Provided by the Stewards of the Fred Wolff Nature Preserve. Join us each month for a unique look at our local environment with special guest leaders and topics.
Nature Walk:
Third Saturday of the month beginning at 8 AM. All Nature Walks begin at the Shade Shelter on the Bear Creek Nature Trail at the corner of Calle Ensenada and Avenida Montezuma in the La Quinta Cove.

Grab your discs and join us for an instructional clinic with Helix Disc Golf professionals at Colonel Mitchell Paige Middle School. Great for both first time players and experienced players. Learn to imrpove your skills from local disc golf professionals and get ready for the January 18 disc golf tournament at the Cove Oasis.

Monday, January 6  - Friday, January 10 beginning at 8am

Join us for a week of fun activities for a healthier you. Come participate in scenic walks around La Quinta's Civic Center Campus led by local hiking and walking groups. There will be health screenings, fitness demonstrations, information on how to eat better, and enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Free shirts will be given to the first 150 participants.

Start the morning off with an active warm-up before a fun walk on the Bear Creek Trail. This 5 3/4 mile (round trip) walk will have 4 rest stops with snacks, drinks, and special prizes for your effort.

Flag Football Tournament
Come out for a day of Flag Football competition and fun. All teams are welcome and are guaranteed 2 games at the tournament.
