A ceremony will be held on Veteran's Day to honor those men and women who have served our country.    Date:  Tuesday, November 11 Time:  11 AM Location:   Civic Center Campus Nature Walks and Guided Hikes Guided Hikes around the Coachella Valley with Philip Ferranti: November 8 - Mecca Hills Join us at 9 AM for a beautiful easy 5 mile hike. Meet and carpool from the Albertson's shopping center in Palm Desert at 42185 Washington Street. Park in the first two rows in front of the Postal Connection. All participants should dress appropriately and bring water. Provided by the Stewards of the Fred Wolff Nature Preserve. Join us each month for a unique look at our local environment with special guest leaders and topics. Nature Walk: Third Saturday of the month beginning at 8 AM. All Nature Walks begin at the Shade Shelter on the Bear Creek Nature Trail at the corner of Calle Ensenada and Avenida Montezuma in the La Quinta Cove. November 15 - Gardening with Nature  easy Nature Hike: Hikes meet at the Top of Cove parking lot on Calle Tecate.
